Why do some people see spirits and others do not? There is no definitive answer to that. However, I believe it depends on how open we are to the possibility of an existence beyond our bodies. Also, some people come into this world to be an open channel. They get caught up in the living world, so their connection to the spirit one freaks them out.
For me, after I had my first paranormal experience, I began to be more aware. I think we often miss the signs of paranormal activity. This awareness has awakened an ability to do energy work. All of us have the potential to sense spirits and energy. It all depends on how stuck we are in the physical world. It we can loosen the hold everyday life has on us, we can become more in tune to what ELSE is out there, or more properly, within us.

Update for you. Turns out that I’m turning into a Clairaudiant spiritual medium and getting better at it. I’ve heard and channelled my first ghosts last weekend. One ghost was an adult and used my voice to talk to others. He showed no hostility to us. The other ghost was a small child and I could “hear” her talking, so I relayed what she was saying to everyone. 😀

I miss ya —- Dan happened to be reading the comics back in 2009 and I said –I didnt think you read them — he said Oh i just decided to do — and so for the next hour plus he was giggly laffy reading them — and proceeded of course to describe them to me and act them out sorta –as much as you can while sitting down.
