A good friend of mine, Deonna Kelli Sayed, has come up with an exciting idea. Many of us are hungering for more in our studiously perpetual pursuit of the paranormal. She is looking to start a webcast that digs deeper than the obvious wonders of an orb, and even the visage of a full-bodies apparition. …beyond the limits of our everyday vision.
How many of you are interested in this? We’re looking for feedback.
Deonna’s proposal:
It seems a growing number of paranormal enthusiasts want something beyond basic paranormal 101 talk. Several investigators, or “ghost hunters,” are becoming increasingly interested in thinks like how quantum consciousness, psi, neurology, anthropology, and metapsychics impact what investigators do. I’ve heard that some people are looking to put together a more nuanced webisode on this issues. It would explore things like the history of ghost hunting, how to make investigations more scientific, involve parapsychology, authors of books on issues of interest beyond ghost hunting. The webisode would also be a place for some paratainment personalities to talk as investigators rather than celebrities.
Is this something you’d be interested in? If you want “something more” than basic talk, what would you like to see?

One of the factors that paranormal researchers often look at these days is the geology of an area where something weird has been reported. This is particularly so with ghosts, which appear repeatedly in the same place. Some researchers have suggested there could be a link between paranormal reports and geology. Even without such ideas, geology is always worth recording, since no one knows exactly what causes haunting. Given that hauntings are place-related, geology is one of many geographical factors to consider.
Radon gas
Another possible connection between the paranormal and geology is radon gas. This radioactive element is produced from rocks below ground and is found almost everywhere. Radon is one of the main producers of air ions.
Some paranormal researchers have found radiation anomalies associated with hauntings though the evidence so far is slight. Much such excess radiation is associated with radon. Radon is most common in areas with granite. It accumulates in buildings without draughts because it is heavier than air.
I am looking into the correlation between radon and the paranormal. Anyone else?
Interesting idea… Haven’t heard anything about Radon and the paranormal. Anyone else out there? Come on folks! Inquiring minds wanna know!

Deonna and I discussed this briefly and my thoughts are that there appears to be a genuine interest among some paranormal folk for a bit more ‘stimulating’ discussion than what is common on the paranormal boards and some radio casts. Somewhat beyond the: ” I got this great EVP and/or photo last night, you should hear it/see it” Yeeess, and now what do you do with it?! Add it to your already overflowing collection of EVP/photos? What are the implications of the data you’ve collected; What does it mean? We need to possibly discuss things like effective group leadership; Moral impact of definitve evidence of life after life; development of paranormal investigation from a high tech hobby into a recognized scientific field…and on an on…! Why not give it a shot
