I am finally getting around to watching the IFC series, Monty Python, Almost The Truth, The Lawyers Cut. It’s a documentary on the group of goofballs that I enjoyed so much.
What I realize when watching this is how much influence Monty Python has had in my cartooning. I usually credit Charles Shultz, but underlying zany, pseudo intellectualism comes directly from the Python.
Nice to know where that sick sense of humor originates! Today’s cartoon is, in my mind, hysterical. All you fellow pseudo ‘intellectualists’ will appreciate it! 🙂

I have been laughing with Monty Python since the seventies….But I can’t spell ‘pseudo’ and fagetabout ‘intellectualists’…I would not even give that a shot…I’m a lumber jack…
I spelled pseudo right once and wrong the 2nd time… so… there you go! I also think I invented the word ‘intellectualists’ – If I can’t find a word to fit, I make one up. Websters hates me. 🙂
