I suppose you may or may not have noticed I slipped in a “new” character… not so new to me. Woodsy has been around for about 3 comic strips. He grew out of a character that was dictated to me in a very vivid dream of Jim Morrison telling me how he would be if he were to still be alive as a recluse in the woods…
I’m sure I’ve lost a few of you with that last admission. Oh well. I don’t worry to much about how weird people think I am. I already am well aware…
Woodsworth evolved into the next strip called In Spirit. Here he played a frustrated poet who heads out to the woods to avoid society and its ills. He knocks heads with another like-minded recluse who just so happens to be dead. Woodsy is, of course, a skeptic. And, yes, in this strip, is dating our illustrious Erna, the psychic.
Drawing In Spirit caused me to create Entities-R-Us ghost hunter crew… You all can figure where this led. It turns out the paranormal “experts” were far funnier than Woodsy on his own, with the exception of the ghost, Fred, who I will resurrect eventually.
It occurred to me that a skeptic on board would add quite a bit of “comic relief” – as if there isn’t enuff of this already! This should be a fun venture. Arno is already considering the skeptic a bit of a freak of nature… sort of like a zoologist who discovers a new species.
This is going to be fun…
Enjoy as you Eat Cookies!

P.S. The reference to “on board” in the Ouija Nite strip for this week is not a pun I intended… It’s a pretty good one though! Too bad I didn’t think of it outside the subconscious level.
