As we move into the next dimension, let’s do a recap of what 2010 brought to the planet, comic-wise.
Entities-R-Us shot out of the gate with the first book, Entities-R-Us, Ghost Hunter Comic – Paranormal Humor for the Ghost Hunter’s Soul. Many fans clamored for their copies, soaked it all in and coughed up great reviews!
This book introduces the comic strip, discusses the inspiration behind it and holds a collection of some of the first strips from 2008 – 2009. It even holds an account of my first paranormal experience.
I managed to get to a couple paranormal conferences this year. In April, I shot big and actually flew out to Ohio for the first ever Queen City Paracon. I met some cool folks including Ghost Lab’s Klinge Brothers, Jeff Belanger, Syd Schultz, Carl Johnson and Dena Palazini to name a few.
Queen City was held in the Cincinnati Music Hall – which is haunted. We investigated it afterward. I have a ton of EVPs and some fun accounts of working with Barry and Brad Klinge. (I plan to re-post these on the website – I did a major rewrite on the info and need to reload it.)
The next gig was closer to home in North Adams, MA at the Houghton Mansion. Harvest Moon put on a well organized conference with speakers Linda Zimmerman, Jeff Belanger, Etc.
One of my highlights was being shut in the psychomanteum by Jeff Belanger for his program 30 Odd Minutes. We had loads of fun. The investigation afterward landed me some of the clearest EVPs I’ve picked up. When a ghost shouts “RUTHLESS” with that kind on clarity, you listen!
This has been the year of the Guest Draw… Paranormal celebs and their fans have been clamoring to be drawn, to suggest folks to draw and even feed ideas! Some of the high powered fans such as Zak Bagans, Josh Gates, Ryan Buell, Michelle Belanger, Rex Williams, KJ McCormick, Paul Bradford, Scott Tepperman, etc have helped spread the Entities-R-Us word in support of the comic.
I plan to launch a Guest Draw exclusive book some time next year. This will likely follow the second Entities-R-Us book.
Entities-R-Us launched THE PORTAL – a section of pages dedicated to fan art, ERU Supermodels and Ghost Stories from fans. This is still in development. I encourage you all to submit your own tales of paranormal experiences, drawings, cartoons etc. I will post them (unless they are unduly naughty… or border on copyright infringement… or might get me in hot water.)
Here’s Heather’s drawing of Zak Bagans.
I hit plenty of blogtalks. Apparently, I’m considered and entertaining guest… Met some cool folks and discussed some interesting phenomena, be it paranormal or cartoon-anormal.
I also put a few investigations under my belt. The EVP collection grows…
On a NON-paranormal note, I published my children’s book, “Can I Ride?” It’s a story book geared to children who want to ride a horse for the first time.
2011 (Pre-Armageddon)
The new year holds at least two books for Entities-R-Us. I’m making plans to hit some paracons and definitely New York Comic Con!
There are some book collaborations in the works with a few people. And a possible magazine spoof project.
As usual, I’m always thinking of cool products, so I hope to launch some really wacky stuff this year.
The list is long, the expectations are higher than they ought to be…
STAY TUNED for a FABULOUS year with Entities-R-Us!
Happy Pre-Armageddon Everyone!
Eat Cookies! Hunt Ghosts!
