Many of you know, when I’m not doing graphic design, I work in a local shop in Rhinebeck (to fund my comic and horse habit with steady income). Of course it’s plastered all over the news that Chelsea Clinton is getting married in town at Astor Courts.

The whole event has dragged folks out of the woodwork to scope the scene. While I have not seen any celebrities (I wouldn’t know one if they punched me in the face), I have seen an influx of locals and tourists all abuzz with the idea of somehow being a part of this wedding. The mood is lighthearted. You can feel the energy in the streets (all two of them).

Rhinebeck is not new to celebrity sightings or goings on. This is a common occurrence and generally goes unnoticed or slightly noticed. The Clintons have visited before on numerous occasions. Somehow the wedding has sparked a fixation.

News crews from all the stations are tromping around with cameras. People are being interviewed. “What do you think about all this?” “What do you know about the wedding?”

A passer by asked me if I was enjoying the circus as I stepped out on the shop stoop. I said to her, “Where are the elephants? It’s a circus, I want  elephants!”

Circus it is. And, it’s put people in a buying mood, so the shop’s business is up. With celebrity buzz in their heads, people are searching for signed this and that… Hence, I sold and Entities-R-Us book to a very nice couple from Kansas! (Yes, I asked how Dorothy was doing… I have no shame. Got an update on Toto too!) To add to the fun, they asked me to mention the Clinton wedding when I personalized the book. It may not directly relate to ghost hunting cartoons, but it was all in the same basket that day.

And thus, Entities-R-Us has participated in the Chelsea Clinton Wedding saga on some level. It’s always fun to strettttchhhhh the truth. But these are the facts!

Eat Cookies, Hunt Ghosts! Crash the Wedding!
