There is always a kid who is afraid of the dark. He or she is convinced there are monsters in the closet, under the bed, etc. That doesn’t stop them from jumping off the bed into the terrors monster territory and booking it for Mommy’s bedroom.

What if the monsters are real? What if the child is psychic and is attracting spirits? What if Grandma is visiting? What if there is an entity in the house that is nasty? …AND, what if Mommy doesn’t believe him or her?

When belief systems collide, more issues than possible ghosts arise. I think these occasions are opportunities to awaken to new possibilities. However, it often comes at the expense of the child. As adults, we need to separate fact from fiction. And, we need to have an open mind.

Children who are psychic can suffer tremendously until they find a mentor that can guide them in using their gifts. Support and unconditional love is important. If you have a youngster who is exhibiting psychic abilities, watch the TV show, Psychic Kids with Chip Coffee together.  Seek out help from a psychologist who has an open mind and works with children with these abilities.

Psychic and healing abilities are gifts. They should be encouraged. A child who comes into this world with these has a very important job to do. It is up to parents and teachers to guide them on their path so they can be what they are supposed to be.
