And now for something completely different…
I had the fortuitous opportunity to find Monty Python’s Life Of Brian on the cable “on-demand” last evening. Alas, this is one of my favorite movies. British humour, particularly the Python kind, tickles the knickers.
My brother and I wiled away Friday nights when the parents left us to our devices with a bag of Doritos and Monte Python’s Flying Circus. That led to skits in the basement and “shows” on the old tape recorder.
That insanity has never left me. It seems to manifest itself in my cartoons… Though I don’t claim to be nearly as funny as John Cleese and company, it is a high moon worth shooting for.
If you haven’t seen Life of Brian and are in the mood for a little sacrilege, make some popcorn or grab a bag of Doritos. It’s fairly amusing humour that will add colour to your evening.
